Question

How do you respond to 'Convince me to hire you' in a final round?

Answer

Treat it like a closing pitch, not a generic self-description.

  1. Evidence: Name 2-3 concrete strengths supported by experience.
  2. Bank fit: Explain why those strengths match this specific bank / team.
  3. First-year contribution: Say what you will bring in the first 12 months.

'I would give you three reasons. First, I have already tested the work through [internship / project] and know I enjoy the analytical grind. Second, my experience in [sector / modeling / transaction] fits the team's current focus. Third, I am coachable and reliable under pressure, which is what a junior needs to be from day one.'

arrogance, vague adjectives, and repeating your entire CV.

The best answer sounds like a hiring memo: evidence, fit, and risk mitigation.
