Our approach

Haus of Deal is built to ask you for as little as possible. There are no user accounts, no sign-up, no password, no payment processing and no marketing communications. You open the Platform and use it.

Two kinds of data are still processed in the background: the technical request data that any website generates when it is served, and pseudonymous measurement data used to understand how the site is used. Both are described below.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for, store or process:

  • your name, email address, phone number or postal address;
  • payment, card or bank details;
  • a user profile, login, password or progress history held on our servers;
  • special-category data such as health, biometric or political data.

There is no sign-in of any kind. Access to the Platform is a single click, with nothing to register and nothing to verify.

We do not sell or rent data, we do not share it with data brokers or third-party marketers, we run no advertising on the Platform and we do not build advertising profiles.

Technical data processed automatically

Like every website, the Platform is delivered by hosting and content-delivery providers whose servers record standard request data: IP address, date and time of the request, the pages or files requested, the referring page, and browser and device type.

This data is processed to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose faults. It is retained for a short period by those providers and then deleted. Where it relates to you, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website.

Cookies

The Platform uses analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, described in the next section. These recognise a browser across visits so that repeat visits are not counted as new ones.

We use no advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not store preferences or progress in your browser.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, or install Google's browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics entirely. Neither affects your access to the Platform, which never depends on cookies.

Measurement

We use two Google tools to understand how the site is found and used.

Google Analytics records visits to the Platform: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from the IP address. It identifies a browser by a randomly generated identifier, not by you. We do not upload any information that would let Google connect a visit to a named person, because we hold none.

Google Search Console reports aggregated search statistics for the site as a whole and gives us no information about individual visitors.

Google acts as our processor for Analytics data and processes it on servers that may be located outside your country, under its standard contractual protections. We keep the shortest retention period Google offers and do not enable advertising features, ad personalisation or cross-property signals.

Service providers

The Platform is hosted and served by third-party infrastructure providers that process technical request data on our behalf in order to deliver the site, and Google processes measurement data as described above. They are bound to use it for those purposes and not for their own.

International processing

Our infrastructure and measurement providers may process technical request data and measurement data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the providers' standard contractual protections.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data relating to you, to object to that processing, and to complain to your national data protection authority.

Because we hold no account data, we are normally unable to identify you from the technical data described above, and may therefore be unable to link it to you in order to action a request. You can still contact us at support@hausofdeal.com or business@hausofdeal.com.

Children

The Platform is intended for adults and older students preparing for professional interviews. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly process data relating to them.

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the version in force, and the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
