Module II· Why IB / Why BankingIntermediate
Question

How do you respond if the interviewer says your 'Why IB' answer is generic?

Answer

Do not defend the generic answer. Go more personal and concrete. Mention a specific project, deal, internship moment, or analytical task that changed your mind. Explain what exactly you liked: valuation trade-offs, transaction intensity, senior exposure, or seeing how strategic decisions translate into numbers. Specificity beats polished abstraction.
